The Eco-Friendly Tree Sacks Program

The Eco-Friendly Tree Sacks Program is an innovative initiative that empowers women in rural Morocco through skills training, cooperative development, and environmental action. By producing biodegradable tree sacks as a sustainable alternative to plastic in agriculture, women are generating income, gaining independence, and leading the way in climate-conscious farming.

This program brings together women’s empowerment and environmental sustainability—proving that when women thrive, communities and ecosystems do too.

Agricultural Terrace Construction

Support the repair of critical agricultural infrastructure for 50 villages in the Moroccan High Atlas Mountains.

Shovels, wheelbarrows, pickaxes, and baskets.

We purchase local fertilizer traditionally used to support soil organic matter content and promote high and healthy agricultural yields.

We hire daily laborers from the villages benefitting from the terracing.

Psychosocial Empowerment

An adaptation of our IMAGINE workshop developed with psychologists after the September 8th earthquake, psychosocial workshops provide space for processing trauma and tools for mental, spiritual, and emotional recovery.

This milestone allows our highly trained facilitators to travel to one location, arrange a community space, provide materials and food for the four-day workshop, and lead all sessions.

This milestone allows our highly trained facilitators to travel to two locations, arrange community spaces, provide materials and food for the four-day workshops, and lead all sessions.

Wells for Bir Anezarane Commune

The Tewirf Association, representing the nomadic community in Bir Anezarane commune, has proposed a project to restore and expand existing infrastructure on three critical wells.

Located between Dakhla Oued Ed Dabah and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, Tourife provides water for drinking and watering camels in both regions.

Located in Bir Anezarane commune, these two wells provide water for nomadic communities and their livestock.

Constructing reservoirs for water storage will expand the capacity of the Touirfe Well, the Win Ferkane Well, and the Ouhifert Well.

Two wells need new solar pumps installed, and one needs a nonfunctioning solar pump repaired.
