This week was filled with learning and practical experiences. We visited a tree nursery in Akrich. I can remember the mesmerizing beauty of the mountains surrounding the place. I learned new information about trees and their need for special care to grow and flourish, including olive, grapevine, and pomegranate trees. Each variety has different planting techniques, watering techniques, soil types, sunlight requirements, and ideal temperatures.

I love having plants at home, yet sometimes they get sick. I was looking for a natural remedy to this problem, and that day I got an answer that I was surprised to hear: Saboun lbeldi with water. I am excited to start applying this knowledge to help my plants.

I felt happy when we started transplanting; it was very fulfilling. I enjoy connecting with nature in all forms, and the activity helped me understand the importance of meeting the plant in the middle and how much soil is needed to stay healthy.

Another special visit was to the Achbarou women's cooperative. Hearing their story was very inspiring. They shared about the importance of having a purpose and the happiness that comes with financial freedom. In our conversation, I remember a woman saying that she felt so proud of their work and of themselves. This touched me deeply because it showed their passion for what they do. Also, I could see that they overcame many challenges by trusting themselves and their project. This cooperative was a real example of women's empowerment. The highlight for me was learning to craft an authentic Zarbia from natural wool by women who had this skill rooted in their tradition. I enjoyed every moment of it.

Beyond that, we had in-depth sessions on first aid, focusing on how to help others in emergencies, especially incidents like accidents and how to extinguish fires. These skills can help us stabilize a person until professional help arrives. Learning this knowledge empowers us to respond effectively to protect ourselves and others.

After the training, I felt that no matter how hard it is to see a difficult situation, I had the skills I needed in order to apply, and hopefully, help others.

We also began working on our own nursery. It was very challenging but exciting. We decided on the plants that we would plant and determined what care they needed.

Finally, we end our week with the olive tree harvest. We enjoyed our time so much. It’s been a busy week, full of learning and community work.
