The High Atlas Foundation

Sale, Morocco – On Earth Day, April 22nd, 2026, the High Atlas Foundation (HAF) and L’École de Jardinage Bouregreg Med-O-Med marked a milestone for environmental education and action in Morocco. In a ceremony bringing together students, educators, and local community partners, the two organizations signed a formal Partnership Agreement and jointly led a community tree planting activity, symbolizing their shared roots and growing commitment to a greener Morocco.

The Earth Day event began at 11:00 AM with a welcoming ceremony at L’École de Jardinage, followed by a hands-on tree planting session led by students of L’École de Jardinage alongside HAF team members and community volunteers. The signing of the partnership agreement took place during the event, marking the official launch of a collaboration focused on nursery development, green skills training, and community-led environmental restoration across Morocco.

The partnership agreement signed on this occasion formalizes a broad and strategic collaboration centered on tree planting and environmental restoration. The High Atlas Foundation will support L’École de Jardinage through capacity strengthening in empowerment and participatory approaches, along with technical guidance related to nursery management, tree production, and planting practices. The collaboration also aims to enhance hands-on learning opportunities and support the professional integration of graduates through practical field experience and continued development pathways.

In turn, L’École de Jardinage has dedicated its inspiring site to national and international groups, manage an expanded nursery, producing native Moroccan plant varieties, and engage its apprentices in community planting, including at schools, associations, and public spaces. The school will also actively contribute to income-generating activities through the sale of trees and plants, supporting the long-term sustainability of the program.
