On the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, the High Atlas Foundation, on behalf of its members, would like to send warm wishes for this blessed month to people all over the world. We hope for forgiveness so that in return we may receive prosperity and good fortune from God. We hope that He accepts our fasting and that it inspires us with patience in all of our work and brings forth good deeds. We hope that the Qur’an will be the spring of our hearts and our source of light and restore us and you all with prosperity, good fortune, and blessings.

At this moment, HAF is embarking upon a new chapter through the creation of a social enterprise, High Atlas Agriculture and Artisanal (HA3). This enterprise will spur local initiatives that span the entire agricultural development cycle – from nurseries to market and farm to fork – of certified organic products.

Agricultural products marketed through HA3 as organic, fair-trade, environmentally sustainable, and socially responsible will generate increased income for marginalized populations in Morocco and create a multiplied return: HA3 will reinvest in education, health, water infrastructure, and business development, particularly for women and youth, acting as engines of local development and empowerment.

HA3 has received international recognition at the Agora MedSpring Brokerage in Cairo, Egypt, and received the SEED Award for Entrepreneurship and Development in November 2013.

Now, more than ever, we are asking for your help to support the High Atlas Foundation as it seeks to invest in the people through obtaining organic certification for Moroccan agriculture. To hear more from HAF’s president Yossef Ben-Meir, click here.
