In celebration of National Forest Day, a special event took place on Thursday, 20 March 2025, at the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences in Meknes. This awareness-raising event, focused on environmental education and sustainability and was organized in collaboration with the National Agency for Water and Forests, the Association of Teachers of Life and Earth Sciences, and the Collective Space.

The event aimed to engage students and faculty in discussions about environmental conservation, the importance of forests, and the role of sustainable practices in mitigating climate change. The day was filled with informative sessions, training workshops, and hands-on activities aimed at fostering a deeper connection with nature.

Inauguration of the Pedagogical Ecological Garden

A significant part of the event was the inauguration of the pedagogical ecological garden, which was created to serve as a living classroom for students to learn about sustainable agriculture, native plant species, and ecological practices. Under the supervision of the President of Moulay Ismail University and the Dean of the Faculty of Law the garden will play a vital role in promoting environmental education at the university.

Tree Planting Activity

In line with the theme of National Forest Day, a tree planting activity took place within the faculty grounds. This activity allowed students and faculty members to contribute directly to the green space on campus while raising awareness about the importance of trees in combating climate change. The act of planting trees not only helps beautify the environment but also serves as a reminder of the need for ongoing reforestation efforts.
