In October, a significant step was taken in strengthening the collaboration between the High Atlas Foundation and the Provincial direction of Agriculture (DPA) of Marrakech through an official presentation meeting held with key institutional stakeholders. 

The meeting was jointly delivered by Souad Agnaou, Director of Tree Planting, and myself in my role as Lead Empowerment Trainer, to the Director of the DPA of Marrakech, together with the heads of the various divisions and departments. It served as an important opportunity to present the Foundation’s integrated approach, highlighting the complementary environmental and social development initiatives implemented across communities.

During the session, Souad Agnaou presented the High Atlas Foundation's work in tree planting, sustainable agriculture, and community-based environmental initiatives, highlighting the organization's long-term commitment to environmental sustainability and rural development.

For my part, I introduced the Empowerment Program, focusing on its objectives, methodology, key activities, and the impact it has achieved within local communities. I emphasized the importance of psychosocial empowerment workshops, which play a central role in strengthening community resilience, promoting social inclusion, encouraging participation, and enhancing the long-term well-being of women, youth, and vulnerable populations. 

The exchange also highlighted the program's holistic approach, which combines psychosocial wellbeing, community engagement, and sustainable development. It further allowed for meaningful discussion on potential areas of collaboration between the DPA and the High Atlas Foundation, reinforcing shared priorities in supporting rural communities. 

This meeting marked an important milestone in building stronger institutional partnerships and exploring future opportunities for joint action aimed at improving livelihoods and fostering sustainable development in the region of Marrakech Safi.
