Omaima Khalil El Fanne joined the High Atlas Foundation team as a Cultural Field Coordinator for the USAID Religious and Ethnic Minorities Activity (REMA). She is a civil society activist who is passionate about social change in Morocco and a member of several national and international organizations. She chairs a youth movement for climate called "Youth for Climate Morocco." She is a qualified leader in environmental law, environmental science and management, and sustainable development. Oumaima has technical know-how and skills in the field of environment and climate change, and she is greatly interested in civic engagement, youth empowerment, and women's political inclusion. She is a student of sociology and is functionally engaged in work on issues related to the spatial and social transformations of the urban-rural phenomenon in Morocco, focusing on urban areas.
