Basma OKBI, Program Training Manager

Basma was born in Khouribga, Morocco, but has spent most of her life in Settat. She obtained her MSc degree in Agricultural Production Improvement from the Faculty of Science and Technology in Settat. Her love of nature and animals influenced her to pursue a PhD in Agronomy. The latter paved her the way for several opportunities by having the chance to participate in training programs and international exchanges.  In addition to her studies, Basma takes part in civil society and para-university activities. She is involved in a number of organizations, for whom she oversees several national and international projects. She previously served as National Vice President of Business and International Relations at an international NGO in Morocco. She has accumulated several experiences as a national and international trainer in different fields. Interpersonal communication, fieldwork, and leading conferences and workshops has become a passion for her.  Basma was also a Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) Volunteer with the High Atlas Foundation in the Marrakech-Safi region.  Currently, Basma is the Program Training Manager for the Clinique Juridique de la Faculté de Droit (CJFD) in Fez,  a pro bono legal aid program funded by the U.S.-Middle Eastern Partnership Initiative (MEPI) and implemented by HAF in partnership with the Faculty of Law at University Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah. basma@highatlasfoundation.org
