In the initial wave of earthquake response, national and international relief teams rushed to provide tents to families whose houses were damaged or destroyed. However, with the advent of the winter rainy season and weather conditions, an intermediate housing solution is urgently needed to address the gap between the immediate solution of tents for houseless families and the long-term reconstruction of homes.

After extensive research and assessment, we began constructing shelters. The project is ongoing as funding is available, and the shelters that have been constructed have been incredibly well-received and have successfully withstood winter weather conditions.
