Giving and Growing Seeds

The last week of 2016

Dear Friends,

Seeds empower women with income, choice and more control over their lives.

Seeds make beautiful schools and inform our children about human and environmental life.

Seeds are a source of youth employment when we learn how to care for them.

Seeds bring together diverse groups of faith.

Seeds become our vanguards for clean air and disease-free bodies.

Seeds and planting them into the ground has been equated by people the world over as an act of faith.

Seeds give an opportunity to the confined, the forgotten and save what may not otherwise last.

Seeds prevent lands and hills from crumbling until lost.

Seeds spawn a bounty that spawns factories and trade and more seeds.

Seeds nourish us, our planet and culture.

Seeds combined with partnerships are a part of our most ideal future.

Grow seeds with the High Atlas Foundation and partners in all Morocco and inspire opportunities far beyond.

Within days from when you give this season, organic fruit and plant seeds will be in the ground, planted and cared for by local communities who will receive their benefit and who are profoundly grateful.

Buy seeds for Moroccan people.  We hope you do.

We wish you a very happy holiday and a wonderful year ahead.

Yours faithfully,

Dr. Yossef Ben-Meir
President
High Atlas Foundation

HafFdtn Witnessing poverty, generosity and peacefulness in mind, keeps me thinking, how much I take for granted and don’t appreciate as I should.
HafFdtn The revenue from nuts will help farmers to overcome subsistence agriculture and poverty and will promote sustainable development projects.
HafFdtn Almond trees can live longer than a century, and walnut more than four centuries.
HafFdtn Once mature, every walnut tree will increase the farmer’s yearly income by $300 and every almond tree by $15.
HafFdtn Unemployment is highest among young in Morocco, with 33% of 15-to-24-year-olds and 26% of 25-to-34-year-olds unemployed (MPI Report, 2008).
